Our Ambassador

His Excellency Mr Michael Cutts

 

Mr Cutts is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently Director, Goods and Government Procurement Section in the Office of Trade Negotiations.

He has previously served overseas at UNESCO, and in Paris and Madrid.

Mr Cutts holds a Master of Arts in Foreign Affairs and Trade; a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Education from Monash University; and a Graduate Diploma in Interpreting/Translation from Deakin University.

Our Team

Political Section
The Political and Programmes Section, headed by our Deputy Head of Mission is tasked with advancing Australia's bilateral relationship and cooperation with Morocco.

Consular Section
The Consular Section, headed by our Consul, is responsible for looking after the affairs of Australians in Morocco by providing support services in line with Australia's Consular Services Charter.

Austrade Office
Headed by a non-resident Senior Trade Commissioner, Austrade is responsible for establishing and maintaining business and investment links between Australia and Morocco. This includes identifying opportunities in markets for Australian exporters, conducting market research and introducing potential business partners, along with assisting investors to pursue investment options in Australia. Austrade also markets Australian industry, product and service capabilities to business connections in the region. This includes being responsible for promoting Australian education.
